Lansvale Public School Newsletter Lansvale Public School Chancery Street, Canley Vale NSW 2166 9724 5252 lansvale -p.school@det.nsw.edu.au Website www.lansvale -p.schools.nsw.edu.au 13th March 2020 (Week 7) Principal ’s message Meet the Teacher - Three way Conversations Thank you parents for an incredible response to our recent three way conversations in Week 6. The conversations that teachers had with you and your child were absolutely invaluable for the year of learning ahead. This has laid the foundation for a wonderful partnership by enabling families and teachers to meet, ask questions of one another and for you to share important information about your child. Collectively parents, students and teachers have reported that this was the most successful Meet the Teacher yet!! Coronavirus Lansvale Public school is working hard to ensure good hygiene standards are maintained at school as this is an important way to reduce the risk of acquiring and spreading respiratory infections. School toilets are stocked each morning with hand soap and every class has been equipped with hand sanitiser. Students at school are encouraged to wash their hands frequently with soap and water – before and after eating and after going to the toilet. We are also encouraging students to cover their nose and mouth when they cough or sneeze (coughing into their elbow is a useful strategy), avoid touching their eyes, nose and mouth before washing their hands, limit physical contact when greeting people and limit physical contact on the playground. The single best way to protect ourselves from the spread of any respiratory infection is to maintain good hygiene standards: 1. Practice regular, 20 -second hand washing with soap and water. 2. Cough or sneeze into your elbow – or better still – a tissue (and dispose of it immediately) 3. Stay at home if you are sick. Meet the Teacher Coronavirus Gates Harmony Day & Colour Run P&C Team 2020
