Staff and students have returned full time to Lansvale Public School this week and it has been wonderful to see students engaged in learning and also enjoying being with their friends again. School Attendance All students must be at school each day unless they are currently unwell (K -6). If a child arrives after 9am they will be marked as ‘late. ’ This is recorded as a partial absence on your child ’s report. If a child is away for more than 2 days, then the school will be contacting you to understand the health care needs of your child. We may ask you for medical certificates and help develop some strategies with you to ensure regular attendance at school is maintained. Important Guidelines at Lansvale Public School from 25 May • Students no longer need to follow physical distancing guidelines. • There will be no longer be remote learning packages for students to learn from home because the expectation is that students are at school. • All parents must continue to remain off site and drop and pick up children outside the school gate. Classroom teachers may be contacted by ringing the office or via Seesaw. • All playground equipment will be closed until further information is provided. • Any students or staff who display any cold or flu like symptoms including running nose, fever, cough, sneezing etc will be isolated and sent home. • School bubblers will be closed so students are encouraged to bring their own water bottles. • Students will not be permitted to share food or drinks. • Hand Sanitiser, soap, disinfectant sprays and wipes have be restocked in all classrooms. Students will be encouraged to wash their hands before and after they eat and when they use the bathroom.
